LANCASHIRE EQUESTRIAN PROPERTY - INCLUDING PLANNING APPLICATION

We carried out a search and acquisition for a client relocating from near Hereford to the North West with very specific equestrian needs. The search was therefore primarily focused on the land and its facilities, with the housing need as a secondary factor!
We finally negotiated to buy an excellent property in central Lancashire, convenient to a number of equestrian centres. The property came with the option of additional land (17 acres) which we also secured. However there were no existing equestrian facilities on site, so having introduced our client to a local planning consultant an application was made to add a stable block, hay barn and outdoor ménage. The application was approved on appeal following initial rejection by the local authority.
Our clients acknowledged that this would have been an impossible exercise to carry out by themselves given the distances involved and their own business commitments.
