LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK
We were approached in late April by a couple living in rented accommodation who had been trying to find a suitable family home in the Lake District for several months. They desperately wanted to move into their own home by the end of August as they were expecting an addition to the family.
On instruction, we proceeded to search in the North Lakes area focusing on the Penrith, Keswick and Cockermouth areas. Within the Lake District National Park there is a very competitive market place. Good properties sell easily and quickly and buyers need to be very tuned in to the latest opportunities.
Within one week of beginning our search, we had found a property which was just about to be launched on to the market. We were the first to view it late on a Friday afternoon, took our clients on a viewing on the Monday, and had closed the deal on the Tuesday afternoon. The property was in an idyllic situation, with outstanding unobstructed views over their own field toward the local village and the valley and the hills beyond. The village school also met their needs perfectly. Completion was achieved in mid August.
